Louisville Public Media and 89.3 WFPL are proud to partner with the Coalition for the Homeless for a mayoral forum on May 10 at 5:30 p.m. at LPM’s downtown studios.
“Homelessness is on the rise in our city,” said Catherine McGeeney, director of communications for the Coalition for the Homeless. “We are grateful for the opportunity to hear our mayoral candidates’ plans for reducing homelessness through the creation and maintenance of affordable and permanent housing for poor people.”
Mayoral candidates participating in the forum include Timothy Findley Jr., Skylar Graudick, Craig Greenberg, Colin J. Hardin, Philip O. Molestina, Shameka Parrish-Wright and Rob Reishman Jr.. The live audience will consist of invited guests from the partnering advocacy groups.

"When journalists speak with people in our community about the root of educational, economic and health challenges, they often come back to a lack of adequate housing," said Gabrielle Jones, vice president of content at Louisville Public Media. “We thought it was essential to center a discussion among our mayoral candidates around this seminal, intersectional issue.”
The forum will be broadcast live on 89.3 WFPL News and streamed on WFPL.org and Facebook Live. The discussion, focusing on solutions for the unhoused, housing equity and affordable housing, will be moderated by WFPL editor Clare Roth. She’ll be joined by panelist Yasmine Jumaa, WFPL’s race and equity reporter.
